Offered for sale is this highly-original and single-family owned 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL with just 45k actual miles; a true, unrestored survivor! Powered by its original 1.9L 4-Cylinder mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The sale includes: original sales invoice and shipping documents, service records, original books/manuals, original spare and jack, period Mercedes touch up paint pen, family history of the vehicle and a clean title.



This example is believed to wearing all original paint work with the exception of the hood and decklid which were re-clearcoated under prior ownership to preserve the original Black paint. The gallery shows detailed shots of this beautiful patina and the original primer peeking out on the edges of the hood and decklid. Likewise, with the exception of the front seats having been recovered, the rest of the interior remains unapologetically original and presents in great condition with a wonderful patina.



This 190SL received several thousands in servicing this month in preparation for sale. Work included: a new battery, oil/filter, spark plugs, fuel system refresh (drain tank, new lines, rebuild pump and replace filter), air intake hose, rebuild shift lever system and shifter bushings.
