Offered for sale is this beautiful and rare 2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK 55 AMG Cabriolet finished in classic Brilliant Silver Metallic over Black Designo leather interior. This cabriolet represents 1 of just ~1,300 CLK 55 AMG Cabriolets produced in 2002; the only year for the cabriolet and the final year of production for the W208.


Locally-owned for its entire life, this example was originally delivered to Mercedes-Benz Annapolis in May 2002. A thorough maintenance history is included from new. 20+ pages of records dating back to 2002 outline the CLK 55’s consistent servicing by MB dealerships and reputable local shops. Clean Carfax.


EXTERIOR: - The Brilliant Silver Metallic paint is in excellent condition overall with high shine. The multi-piece OEM wheels have been professionally refinished. Black badges are present on the trunk and sides. A flat MB emblem replaces the original 3-pointed star hood ornament and an aftermarket grill helps to modernize the design with a larger, more prominent front emblem. The black convertible top is in excellent condition.


INTERIOR: - The interior of this CLK 55 is in excellent shape overall. The Designo leather seats are sporty, yet supple and comfortable for long crusies. The clean black dash is trimmed with contrasting wood. All interior functions are working as they should(AC/Heat/Radio). Leather seats are in excellent shape front and rear. A Kenwood headunit replaces the stock unit and features a number of modern conveniences including Bluetooth, Apple Carplay, backup camera, HD radio, and XM capability.



DRIVETRAIN: - The W208 CLK 55 AMG features a hand-built 5.4L V8 producing 342hp mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission originally adapted from the V12 S600. A resonator delete produces a not-too-loud throaty V8 burble. Runs and drives beautifully.
