1976 Triumph Spitfire 1500 4-Speed for sale in Rockville MD

1976 Triumph Spitfire 1500 finished in Red over Tan Interior with a Black soft top. Believed to have had three owners from new, this Spitfire is a very nice driver; a largely original survivor example with lovely patina.



The Triumph has been treated to one repaint in the original red about 20-years ago which shows quite nicely overall with some cosmetic imperfections and chips commensurate with mileage. The interior presents in great condition is believed to be all original except for new, OEM-style carpeting and sun visors. An aftermarket single-DIN headunit has been installed and plays through two removable speakers on the rear parcel shelf. The wood trim shows some weathering and the original, un-capped dash exhibits common cracking around the defroster vents. The original, unmodified 1.5L Inline 4-Cylinder runs great with a record of regular service including timing chain replacement. Powered is routed through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.



Service in preparation for sale includes new spark plugs, new sun-visors, a two-stage paint correction and compression test. Includes extra keys, historical records, original sales odometer disclosure, spare, jack/tools, owners manual, service manuals, two tonneau covers, and a number of spare parts. This Spitfire 1500 is a great example to drive and enjoy as-is without worry, or as a wonderful rust-free candidate for complete restoration.
