Vehicle Description
1969 Alfa Romeo GT Veloce (GTV)
The classic 105/115 series coupes were penned by famed designer Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone. This 1969 Alfa Romeo GTV AR 1530246 was manufactured on the 15th of February 1969 and originally sold to Alfa Romeo, Newark U.S.A. The car was originally ochre yellow with black interior.
This example has been lovingly cherished, restored and enjoyed over the years and looks terrific in Maserati Arctic White paint with red/black interior. 38,485 miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer.
Production numbers for this model were quite low at 8,705 units as 1969 was the only year the 1750 was imported into the U.S.A. before being replaced by the 2000 GTV. The 1750 GTV is distinguished by smaller rear lights, slimmer bumpers, and an elegant flat dash with auxiliary gauges with chrome bezels located on the center console. The 1750 features an all aluminum twin cam inline 4 cylinder motor with 1779 cc’s of displacement and SPICA fuel injection. The engine/exhaust note is positively operatic at the upper rev range. The 1750 GTV also features four wheel disc brakes and a 5 speed synchromesh gearbox. The gearbox on this example has perfect synchros and provides fluid and effortless shifts. This 1750 GTV also features panasport style wheels, Koni red shocks and sport springs for an athletic stance and improved road holding.
This '69 1750 GTV also features the stunning ‘flying buttress’ front seats, a feature found only in 1969MY cars. These seats are rightly coveted by all other GTV’s. In this example, the flying buttress seats as well as the rear seats are trimmed in beautiful red leather offering the perfect contrast to the white exterior. Inside, you will also note the upgraded tension seat belts and, less obvious, the original radio has been retrofitted with modern internals so you can actually find a classic soundtrack to accompany your drives. The wood veneer trim on the dash has been replaced and has a beautiful shine.
The last private owner, believed to have been the fourth owner, enjoyed the GTV for the last 6 years. Recent servicing in the last 500 miles includes: oil/filter and new trunk carpeting. This example is faithful to its originality but restored, upgraded and refreshed so that it can be enjoyed whenever the weather allows.
