1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible (Restored) for sale in Rockville MD

Offered for sale is this incredible nut-and-bolt restored 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible. Finished in its original India Ivory/Coral Two-Tone paintwork (629S) over Coral Vinyl/Dark Gray Vinyl Interior (533). Powered by the correct 265ci V8 with a 2-barrel carb which produced 170hp when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 2-speed Powerglide transmission and 3:55 rear end. Equipped with a factory power convertible top.


This Bel Air was treated to a complete restoration completed in 2023 and has covered less than 100 miles since finished. Every aspect of the car was considered, and great lengths were taken to ensure that the car was completed to as original of a specification as possible.


Restoration work included: Complete disassembly and cataloging of parts, Body Work and Paint, Complete Mechanical overhaul with ALL new parts including rebuilt engine, New Convertible Top and Headliner, Complete Interior and Upholstery, Original specification Cashmere carpeting, and many other details. Minor changes from original are limited to a new set of Chrome Crager Wheels and a rebuilt Generator modified to operate as an alternator (but retaining the original look).
